Elgar Medrano

Site Lead

Elgar Medrano is a Site Lead at Intrepid Build responsible for the daily operation of the jobsite — the person who sets the plan in the morning, keeps the crew moving through the day, and answers for how the site is left at the end of it. He leads through steadiness and trust, and his team knows what is expected because he makes it clear before the work starts.

Elgar brings a background that pairs two years in civil construction with three years as a service advisor, giving him both the field knowledge to understand what a task actually requires and the communication instincts to keep people informed. He holds OSHA 30 certification along with Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.

A day in Elgar’s role starts with a head count and an assessment of where the work was left off, followed by a game plan with the team, a review of daily tasks and objectives, and confirmation that every person on site has what they need to do their job. He walks the site throughout the day to keep the crew safe and productive, looks ahead to plan for upcoming work, and makes sure the jobsite is cleaned up before anyone leaves.

His project experience at Intrepid spans a 205,000-square-foot multifamily build-out and a Fortune 500 Data Center and Corporate Facility in Raleigh-Durham, a 485,000-square-foot Class A interior program run in phases inside a fully operational environment. Elgar is deliberately versatile — he stays flexible, makes himself useful wherever the crew needs him, and leans on his team when a task calls for a second perspective rather than guessing at it.

Elgar believes the construction industry has not done enough to give its people a healthy life and a livable wage at the same time, and being part of Intrepid means being part of changing that. He values working alongside knowledgeable teammates who let him keep learning, and he wants more structured training and true team-based crews to become the standard on every job.
