Casey Taylor
Operations AssistantCasey Taylor holds three roles at Intrepid Build and moves between them fluidly. The common thread is retention and adjustment: Casey memorizes plans, holds the details, and pivots when problems arise.
The path to construction was unconventional. Casey came through four years of high school technical theatre, eight months as a Direct Support Professional, and part-time handyman work, then completed training at Hope Renovations before joining Intrepid. Casey holds OSHA 30, First Aid and CPR, and NCCER certification, and is candid about still building field experience, relying on the crew to fill in the gaps.
As ASM, the work is largely internal: meetings, client communication, subcontractor scheduling, materials tracking, and site coordination. As estimator, Casey reads bid plans in detail, covering labor, materials, and lead times, and walks sites with clients to talk through scope. As superintendent, Casey arrives an hour early, confirms materials and equipment are on site, and sets the plan before the first trade arrives. Problems get solved as they surface. Thirty minutes before close, work stops, the site is cleaned, Casey walks the space, photographs it, and submits a daily report. Casey currently runs a Fortune 500 Data Center and Corporate Facility campus, where Intrepid has completed more than a dozen renovation jobs.
Ask what the industry is missing and Casey's answer is direct: sustainability and women. Construction generates enormous waste, and not enough people are willing to address it. Women bring a necessary perspective to the trades and remain underrepresented, a gap that extends to PPE and tools, something Casey knows firsthand from a hard hat that does not fit. What Intrepid provides is something that is not guaranteed in this industry: opinions that are weighed, limits that are respected, and room to be heard.
