COMMERCIAL DRIVER

Job Description

 

Our people and project centric, woman and veteran owned construction company is seeking to hire a part-time (5hrs/day) CDL driver to join our quickly growing team.   This role is designed to support our field operations team by loading, transporting, and unloading construction materials.  Day trips to further vendor  locations is a possibility. The right candidate for this role would have intermediate communication skills, a clean and neat personal presentation, and the ability to keep up in an ever changing, fast paced work environment. The ability to take directions is a plus.  The ability to think critically and anticipate and respond to logistical issues is a plus. 

This opportunity will grow into a full time position for the right candidate. A willingness to learn, work hard, and take direction are a must. Pay is commensurate with experience. Our employee would drive our brand new, fully loaded Ram 5500 and multiple trailers: enclosed/short flatbed/40' flatbed. Must be able to drive a 40' container hookup.

Applicant Requirements 

​

  • Valid professional driver’s license (CDL)

    • Good driving record with no traffic violations in the past 5 years 

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Negative Drug Screening

  • Clean Background Check

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs

Role Responsibilities

​

  • Make local pickups & deliveries with a company vehicle 

  • Load and unload trucks 

  • Maintain inventory accuracy 

  • Manage daily trucking log

  • Provide timely and accurate service 

  • Communicate from the field with the Director of Operation
